Nha Trang diving sites: Nha Trang is famed for divers finding the more rare and elusive varieties of nudibranchs, frogs, and scorpionfish. We also, from time to time, meet turtles released by The Marine Park Association. Hon Mun makes for nice relaxing diving allowing us to do a long dive as we can adjust the depth by following the reef more shallow when air is running low, most dive sites allow us to do our safety stop at 5m over the reef below the boat.

Our adventure starts with a pick-up at your hotel. There will be a transfer at 7:30 am, heading to the harbor as a group. The boat will take you to Hon Mun Island which is a Marine Park.  Our professional guide will brief you more in-depth about the dive site, the marine life, the water condition, and underwater hand signals for safety. You will then try on your equipment which has been set up by your guide, in preparation for your first dive! A buddy check is a must before entering the water with their guide, if you are alone the guide will be your buddy. We do small groups with a maximum of 4 divers and 1 professional guide per group. The first dive will be started around 9 am. Your dives will last a minimum of 50 minutes, depend on your air consumption.
After the first dive, our boat will move to the second dive site while everyone is enjoying some tea, coffee, water, and fresh fruits. It will take about 15 minutes to move to the second site (water condition will have a bearing on where the second dive take place). Another briefing will be conducted about the dive site before you get wet again on the second dive!
Around 12:30 pm, we end the second dive and our boat will return you to the harbor. Now a delicious Vietnamese-style lunch will be offered on the boat, after which, you will have an opportunity for some sun on the Sun-deck. We will also help you fill in your dive log, identify the aquatic life you have seen on your trip, and have a chance to mingle and share the high-light of your dives.
Around 13:30 we arrive back at the harbor where your bus is waiting for the transit to your hotel.

Madonna Rock

Madonna Rock: Dive location with a remarkable variety of coral with a max depth of 35 meters. Numerous rock formations that have an abundance amount of fish you can see; schools of Banded Barracuda and multiple varieties of Parrott fish, with an amazing swim through at around 6 to 9 meters. Depends on the depth, Madonna Rock can be a challenging dive site with visibility ranging from 5 meters to 25 meters weather being the factor. Certainly a lot of fun for all levels of diver. One of my favorite dive sites around Mon Island.

 Mama Hanh

Mama Hanh: A shallow dive with amazing coral and different marine life with a max depth of around 14 meters. Multiple varieties of fish in a labyrinth-like hard brain coral which takes you from about 12 meters to about 6 meters when you start your return to the boat

Sea Horse Bay

Sea Horse Bay: only 18-meter max depth, slow and relax is the key for this dive site, give you a chance to enjoy diving for the sake of diving. Meditation in weightlessness however the reef wall (a reminder that you are there to explore) on both sides greet you before you get too relaxed. All around a nice and relaxing dive site.

North Reef

North Reef: Pushing 25 meters, Giant Table Coral scatter throughout this dive site. Often Barracuda can be seen swimming in the distance blue. If you are mindful of air consumption, a very enjoyable 50+ minutes dive.

Coral Garden

Coral Garden: As the name state, it’s more of a forest than a garden with multi-level diving being the norm as you move over a different outcrop of soft coral, as the clownfish hide among the corals, but if you looking hard enough you will find an amazing variety of fish here with a max depth of 27 meters.

South Reef

South Reef: A sister to Coral Garden also sports a max depth of 27 meters, but unlike Coral Garden, here you will find a forest of gigantic Table Coral. Be prepared to be upside down a lot as you try to discover different types of fish and other aquatic life under the Table Corals.

Fisherman Bay

Fisherman Bay: From Discover diver all the way to the Professional level diver, there is something for everyone here, sporting 2-18 meters depth but 25 meters is easily accessible to the more adventurous diver. Depending on the time of year, you can see Barracuda above, Moray hiding in the coral below, and Nudibranch of all color creating a feast of color for your eyes on the sandy patches.

 Tiger Wall

Tiger Wall: An amazing 40 meters max depth, as the name says, it’s a wall of coral and other underwater life. As the color starts to change due to depth so does the aquatic life. Anyone who is observant on detail will find the multitude of life change as you go deeper into the depth. That feeling of being on the edge of the abyss can be found here if you have a little imagination.

Electric Nose

Electric Nose: For an investment of another 20 minutes you are treated to something that literally looks like a nose sticking out of the middle of the ocean. Almost near-colorless 50 meters depth can be found here. Marble Spotted Sting Rays have been observed here with Goliath Grouper, Barracuda and much other deepwater aquatic life can be had if you have a bit of time and a little extra change for a speed boat to reach this location. Definitely worth the time and money investment here. And bring along a good torch for an explosion of colors among the depth.
